Hospitality workers urged to enter Hotelympia 10k run

Fresh RM and Springboard are calling on all industry runners to sign up for the opening event for Hotelympia next year - the Hotelympia 10k.

Over 1,000 runners of all levels are expected to take part.  The run will take place at 9.30am on Sunday February 28th, 2010 at Excel and will again support The Springboard Charity.  The website www.hotelympia10k.com is now live and open for registrations.

Anne Pierce, chief executive of Springboard Charitable Trust said: "We've already signed up headline sponsors including Bunzl, Heinz, Coca-Cola, Cadbury and Huhtamaki.  The Craft Guild are again supporting us by organising the Post Race Brunch and ExCeL are donating space and facilities.

"Support so far has been fantastic. Now we need everyone to put the date in the diary and get their trainers on – we want more than 1,000 runners and overall we want to raise more than £30 000 for Springboard.  All the funds we raise will help young and disadvantaged people improve their prospects through a career in our industry."

Added Toby Wand, group exhibition director for Hotelympia 2010, added: We're delighted be staging this event again – it's made its mark as a key feature of the Show.  .  This is a great event to add competitive edge to your Hotelympia presence."
