ISS Defence in the UK, part of ISS Mediclean, has been awarded a multi-site contract in the South East, with a total value in excess of £100 million, to provide a wide range of services for the Ministry of Defence.
These services include hotel, reception, domestic cleaning, accounting, catering and hospitality, retail shops, and leisure such as bars, cafés and entertainment as well as subcontract management. The deal covers a large section of the training organisation of the Ministry of Defence.
Mike Tall of ISS Defence said: “This will initially be a seven year contract with the potential to extend to 10 years. We shall be providing in excess of 15,000 meals per day and running several small supermarkets, bars, cafés and leisure outlets.
“The Surrey contract will become our flagship operation and a major proof source for us, as we bid for future business with the MoD. It will be a demanding but exciting project for us and the team is looking forward to the challenges ahead.
“The contract begins on May 1 and refurbishment plans are well advanced, in anticipation of a positive start to trading and closer relationships with senior MoD clients.”
