The College has recognised and rewarded the time, money and dedication that ISS Eaton continues to offer its students, supporting the need for bespoke personal development in hospitality with passion and innovation. This includes arranging work placements throughout the year and offering newly graduated students' full time employment within the company's own operations.
Pat Mayo of Thurrock and Basildon College said: "The School of Catering has been ISS Eaton's adopted College for many years now and throughout this time the company has offered students countless opportunities to take part in various activities, including cooking for 160 chefs at their Annual Conference to give them unique 'hands on' experience that has proven invaluable to their development."
Simon Titchener, managing director of ISS Eaton expressed his delight at the award: "Being recognised as the Employer of the Year 2009 by Thurrock and Basildon College is testimony to our strategy that we want to 'make a real difference' when it comes to supporting the next generation cheff'ing community. Not least, it builds upon our attention to high standards as a quality catering provider."
