ISS Mediclean has won a major multi-site London contract worth over £100 million.

The facilities services provider will be working in hospitals in Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte & Chelsea, and Charring Cross.

Services will include patient catering and hostess service, staff and visitors restaurants and cafes, healthcare ward and public area cleaning, and pest control and window cleaning services.

The contract will be supporting 6,000 NHS staff treating more than half a million patients each year.

Simon Cox, managing director of ISS Mediclean, commented on the company's gain: "The Trust is a world class organisation, having recently established the UK's first Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC), which will bring significant research and innovative benefits to patients in London and set an example for other Trusts to follow."

"ISS Mediclean intends to develop the soft services at these hospitals and create, along with our existing contract at St Mary's Hospital, a Centre of Excellence for facilities services in the NHS."
