Initial re-brands FM division

Rentokil Initial has re-branded its cleaning and facilities services division as Initial Facilities Services in a move it says will help offer customers a single service, a bundle of services, an integrated solution or full Facilities Management.

Newly included within the division are catering (Autograph Foodservice catering to B&I and Eden Foodservice catering to schools), facilities management and hospital services. Peter Lloyd, divisional managing director said: “We now have the ability to include any of Rentokil Initial’s market-leading portfolio of support services as part of a contract.” Meanwhile, Initial Catering Services has reported a fall in both revenue and profit during the financial year to 31 December 2006. Revenue fell by 10.5% and adjusted operating profit by £1.2m. Parent company Rentokil Initial blamed the fall on problems in the education segment (which trades under the Eden brand) and some B&I contracts. “We were able to exit some unprofitable contracts in 2006 but remain committed to others,” the company said.
