KNORR introduces ‘Essential Seven’ campaign

22nd April 2008, 11:16am

KNORR has launched a new ‘Essential Seven’ campaign for those chefs seeking for more adventurous dishes and extra inspiration on their menus.

The campaign features seven core KNORR sauces and a range of 49 recipes that inspire broad usage from simple through to more advanced dishes.

Chefs can text ESSENTIAL SEVEN and the name and address of their establishment to 07781 480 117, to claim 1 of 1000 free box sets of recipe cards, featuring seven different ways to use each of the 'Essential seven' sauces.

Laurence Smith, category marketing director of Unilever Foodsolutions, makers of KNORR foods, explained: "The selection of sauces that form our KNORR 'Essential Seven' – Korma, Tikka Masala, Sweet & Sour, Black Bean, Bolognese, Tomato & Basil and Sweet Hickory BBQ – is based on market research and directly reflects the nations' favourite cuisine eaten out of home."

He added: "Using this range of recommended KNORR sauces means chefs can offer their customers any of the seven meals which make up part of the top ten meals served out-of-home – including spaghetti Bolognese, lasagne, curries and stir-fries – without the need to purchase and store expensive, multiple ingredients."

Unilever Foodsolutions has reformulated the entire range of KNORR prepared sauces that comprises Indian, Italian, Americas and Oriental cuisines, with all dishes meeting requirements of the Food Standards Agency and salt reduction targets.
