Kudos reveals three key appointments to drive its new business proposition

6th December 2010, 10:30am

Caterer Kudos, part of the Crown Group, has announced the launch of a new food-based business proposition that will be supported by three new key appointments.

The company, which will now be known as 'Kudos' rather than 'Kudos Hospitality', has made the move after 10 months of "intensive development activity"; aiming to strengthen its food offering even further.

Frank Bordoni has been appointed as food director, Michelin-starred chef Daniel Clifford is the new Kudos creative director and Mary Griffiths has been appointed as the sales director.

Bordoni's previous roles include time spent as a chef patron and many years working in hotels and Clifford, who is chef patron at the two-Michelin starred Midsummer House in Cambridge (also part of the Crown Group), will work closely with Bordoni and other Kudos chefs on menu development, and will also assist with the strategic delivery of the company's food development programme.

Meanwhile new sales director Griffiths has spent over 20 years working at venues such as the Historic Royal Palaces in London, Leeds Castle, Blenheim Palace, Stirling Castle, The Old Royal Naval College, City Livery Halls and various museums.

As part of the launch, the company has also redesigned its logo, giving it a more modern feel; redeveloped its website, making it more informative and engaging; and produced new brand collateral, including new stationary and uniforms. A new 'know how' tagline has also been introduced.

Jon Pryce, managing director, Kudos, said: "We believe that progressive companies will continue to invest in their businesses despite the current financial climate. We are really pleased and excited about the developments at Kudos and can't wait to start telling everybody about them.

"We know what we are good at and have spent a lot of time, and investment, to ensure that we are in a better position to continue sharing this with the wider industry."
