LINDLEY GROUP SIGNS NEW CONTRACT WITH SUNDERLAND AFC

Sports stadia caterer The Lindley Group has strengthened its 13-year relationship with Barclays Premier League FC, Sunderland AFC, after signing a deal to provide the catering at the club's hospitality venue.

Lindley Group has managed the public and hospitality catering at the Stadium of Light since 1997 when the football club moved from Roker Park to its current home.

Since then, Lindley Group has helped establish the hospitality venue and in 2009, the venue generated a doubled turnover from non-match days amounting to a record year for its events business.

Since working with the Lindley Group, The Stadium of Light has picked up awards including the Business Tourism of the Year Award in the 2009 North East England Tourism Awards and has gained national recognition for excellence as a business and events facility in the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence.
