La Pizza Company's "White Pizza Bases" have been developed especially for schools and are packed with vitamins, minerals (particularly Iron, Folate and Zinc) and Omega 3.
Richard Jansen, managing director, La Pizza Company, explained: "Feedback from school caterers told us that they loved our pizza bases as it makes incorporating essential vitamins and minerals into pupils' diets easy.
"But whilst caterers wanted the high fibre content, the children preferred a white base. So we have created a "White Pizza Base" that has fibre content of a wholemeal base and it's been a huge hit with everyone."
To help schools celebrate National Pizza Week, La Pizza Company is giving away a case of its "White Pizza Bases" to six schools. To take part schools need to email their school's name, name, address and daytime contact number, stating where they saw this offer in the subject line, to offers@talkingfood.co.uk before 24th September 2010.
The date for National Pizza Week is still to be confirmed.
