Manchester City Football Club undergoes major overhaul to improve hospitality services

28th May 2010, 8:15am

Manchester City Football Club is investing over £1.5 million in the City of Manchester Stadium this summer to transform its matchday hospitality and conference and events line up for 2010/11.

The investment will include an upgrade of all executive boxes to platinum standard, a complete overhaul of Legends, the refurbishment of premium dining facility The boardroom together with increased executive seating in the stands (from 250 to 350 seats).

City's deluxe leather heated seats will be increased, with 240 installed in the boardroom external seating area. This, together with a refurbishment of the Suite itself, which includes a fresh colour scheme and newly upholstered seats, will ensure it retains its position as the Club's premier dining experience.

Commenting on the investment, David Chell, head of sales at Manchester City Football Club, said: "With a new pitch, ongoing investment in the team and our sights set on bettering our Premier League performance next season, it was essential our hospitality facilities are upgraded to ensure the ultimate matchday experience.

"The success of the Platinum Box concept proved very popular last season, with demand outstripping supply. We are in discussions with all our seasonal box holders regarding the investment plans."
