Medirest wins seven year catering contract with King's College Hospital

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has won a new £135 million, seven year contract to supply catering and support services for King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in south London.

Medirest participated in an extensive, competitive tendering process to win the contract, demonstrating its leadership in providing exceptionally high quality patient meals through Steamplicity, alongside a wide range of support services including cleaning, portering, waste management and help desk services.

King's College Hospital is one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching hospitals. King's has a full range of local hospital services for people in the London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark as well as specialist services to patients from further afield. Over 700 Medirest employees will be based at the hospital to provide services for patients and staff.
