Prisoners fasting for Ramadan are offered a “perfect solution” thanks to the Rieber Thermoport 10 insulated food containers which are designed to save time and labour for prison staff.

Ramadan-observant prisoners who fast from dawn to sundown during the month of Ramadan which starts on 11th August, are benefiting from the Rieber Thermoport 10 insulated food containers, which are providing a hot food service that's convenient "for the prisoners and the prison".

In the past, prisons fed fasting prisoners with sandwich based meals, hot soups or stews in vacuum flasks, which required extra labour and supervision to ensure the food was served at the right temperature as vacuum flasks will only hold hot food for a few hours.

The River Thermoport 10 insulated food containers on the other hand are designed to keep one meal hot for more than four hours, which saves the prisons time and labour.

The boxes are filled and sealed during the usual lunchtime and evening meal service and then collected by prisoners who can have a "good hot meal when they are ready for it".
