Fred Barnes

New Hospitality Action Chairman

Hospitality Action (HA) has appointed Fred Barnes, previously chief executive of 3663, as its new Chairman.

The appointment follows the decision of Bob Cotton to step down from the role after a successful three years. Cotton will continue to play an important part in the charity, remaining as President and a trustee, working closely with Fred.

Richard Ball, managing director of Calcot Manor will also be joining the board as a trustee to increase the strength of the industry.

Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, commented on this movement: "This is a very exciting time for HA and I am confident that we have the right team in place to ensure that we continue to go from strength to strength, supporting those in the industry who need our help."

3663 First for Foodservice, who has supported HA for a number of years, has won many industry awards including Sunday Times Top 50 Best Green Companies 208, and a National Business Award for Supply Chain Strategy.
