Oaklands College has announced it is extending its catering contract with Chartwells for a further 10 years.

Chartwells will provide catering and retail for Oaklands College's employees and nearly 8,000 students in the main refectories at St Albans City Campus, Smallford Campus and Welwyn Garden City Campus.

The catering offer includes the high street brand Costa Coffee, Fairtrade and Rain Forest Alliance tea and coffee, as well as a selection of Compass' branded healthy food and meals. Hospitality is also provided for the College for a variety of functions from client meetings to large inset days to events on the weekend.

David Broadhead from Oaklands College said: "The Chartwells team has a 'can do' attitude which is apparent in how they react to our requirements including supporting external events at the college. We are also pleased with their flexibility and capacity to respond to the changing needs of our students.

"Chartwells takes a proactive approach to healthy eating; listening to learners and working in partnership to provide nutritional and sustainable food at affordable prices."
