On-site service solutions Sodexo appoints new divisional director

Sodexo, a provider of on-site service solutions, has appointed Dinah Davies to the role of divisional director for independent schools.

Davies, who joined the company at the end of June, will be responsible for the operation and development of the independent schools division.

Davies has had a long career in retail operations with roles at Pizza Hut, Beefeater and Brewers Fayre, within Whitbread plc. Until 2004, Davies held the role of national operations director for Brewsters. She was responsible for the management of 160 pub restaurants, 90 adjacent Premier Inn hotels and a team of 14 area managers, two regional managers and 8,000 employees.  

More recently, Davies has been involved in the start-up and development of a small gastro-pub company in the South East whilst also studying for the Professional Development Scheme to gain membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Davies said: "I am delighted to be joining Sodexo and am looking forward to working with my team to strengthen the independent schools business."

Jane Bristow, managing director of Sodexo Education, added: "Dinah brings with her excellent leadership, management and communication skills that will be integral to the effectiveness of her role. The wealth of experience that she brings means that I am certain she will be successful in her role."
