People 1st announce employer masterclasses in customer services

16th November 2009, 12:00pm

People 1st* and Business Link have announced a series of 10 employer masterclasses to help hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism businesses find out how they can deliver the ultimate customer experience.

The masterclasses include tips on access to 'Train to Gain' funding.

Businesses from all over England have been invited to the free masterclasses comprising two half-day workshops aimed to equip them with the skills needed to successfully market and grow their business.

Delegates will also receive a free recruitment package to the industry dedicated uksp.co.uk website for six months – worth £500, and entry into a prize draw at each event to win £1,000 of Stonebow training.

Brian Wisdom, chief executive of People 1st said: "A business stands twice the chance of surviving the recession if it invests time and effort in training its staff properly. Our regional roadshows are focused on two fundamental elements of a business – customer service and marketing.

"Our aim is to educate small and medium sized businesses and HR directors in these areas which we have identified as crucial to the success of running a business in hospitality and are too often left to run on a back burner or cut out altogether."

The employer masterclasses take place in key venues in England between November and January;

• 17 November - Derby Conference Centre in Derby
• 18 November - Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Brighton
• 19 November – The Emirates Stadium in Highbury, North London
• 13 January - Newcastle Football Club in Newcastle
• 14 January - Birchwood Park, Warrington, Cheshire
• 19 January - Aston Villa football club in Birmingham
• 21 January – The Emirates Stadium in Highbury, North London
• 26 January – Norwich football club in Norwich
• 27 January - Leigh Court Conference Centre, Bristol
• 28 January - Sheffield United Football Club

Places on these free industry specific courses are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
