The new contracts have helped the company achieve a staggering 23% growth in turnover this year. The deals vary from one to three years and will add in excess of £3m turnover over the life of the contracts, and serve nearly 600,000 meals a year.
Tim Price, joint managing director for Pride, said: "The past 9 months have been very exciting for our company and despite strong competition in all of the tender processes, we won through and have brought in a record number of 16 new catering operations.
"We've been working very hard developing new sustainable food options, which have struck a chord with our new clients, and as a result of these wins we've also expanded our support team with the arrival of Simon Tombs as Operations Manager."
Pride Catering has particular succeeded in the 'supported living' sector with Saxon Weald Housing Association, McCarthy & Stone and Somerset Care amongst its new clients. Pride's food solutions will help elderly residents continue to lead relatively independent lives whilst enjoying the benefit of the supported living services.
Price added: "This is a key growth area for us and our clients need a different offer in supported living. There's a strong emphasis on the contractor sharing the risks and rewards of a commercial venture, whilst maintaining superb quality for residents, who often have a significant equity stake in their new home."
