Quadrant extends £65m contract with Royal Mail

Contact caterer Quadrant, a joint venture between Compass Group and Royal Mail, has been awarded a five-year extension to its contact, worth £65 million, to deliver catering and vending services to employees.

The contract, which was due to expire in September, will continue to serve 185,000 Royal Mail employees across 1,150 sites. A 1,800 Quadrant team will operate the vast contract, which includes 325 restaurants and 4,300 vending machines across the UK.

 

Compass formed a joint venture with Royal Mail in 1998, and has also worked closely with the company to support its employees Wellbeing programme by introducing healthier choices.

 

Stephen Cole, head of Business Services Royal Mail Group Procurement, said: "Royal Mail is determined to provide its people with all possible support to help them deliver excellent service to our customers – and that includes ensuring they can get the benefit of a top-quality, nutritious and value-for-money catering services."
