Restaurant Design Associates appoints new sales director

Restaurant Design Associates (RDA) has welcomed a new sales director to the Hebburn based company as part of its plan to cater for new markets and expand the business.

Nick Wain, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, is returning to work in the North East in the new role, after working for Costa Coffee's corporate sales department as a channel manager and national account manager for five years.

Wain brings "significant" experience in the foodservice market after developing the majority of his career within the Mars Group, where he spent 18 years involved with snacks and main meal product groups.

He also brings many years experience in the contract catering sector, which will assist him in his new role to develop the sales strategy and focus of the business.

The directors at RDA, who have already worked with Wain on projects over the past year, invited him to apply for the newly created position.

The appointment was part of the company's plan to develop RDA's customer base, establish new target markets and raise the local and national profile of the company.

Wain said: "I was very keen to join the RDA team because I have always been impressed by the style, quality and innovation of their work, plus the friendliness of the staff! I enjoyed working with them on past projects and I am delighted to take up a full time position here.

"I'm very much looking forward to taking the innovation and creativity of RDA to a wider audience, and this is also a great opportunity for me to learn more about the construction side of the company."
