Restaurateurs Tom and Ed Martin celebrate British Food Fortnight

1st September 2011, 11:32am

To coincide with British Food Fortnight (Saturday 17th September – Sunday 2nd October), some of London’s top pubs including The Gun in Docklands, The White Swan in the City and The Cadogan Arms on London’s famous King’s Road, are offering a ‘Best of British’ grub and a pint for just £10.

Tom and Ed Martin will be showcasing a classic menu of old-favourites at their family of pubs.

Dishes include 'Londoner' sausages and mash served with cider sauce; real ale battered fish and chips, tartare sauce and mushy peas; boiled Essex ham hock, pease pudding and parsley sauce or toad in the hole, gravy and bubble and squeak served with English mustard.

Diners can choose a pint from a selection of British ales such as Darkstar Hophead from West Sussex, Adnam's Bitter from Southwold and Peterborough brewed Oakham Citra.
