Shortlist revealed for Free-From Food Awards

22nd April 2008, 10:48am

Foods Matter, the food allergy and intolerance magazine, has announced the shortlist for its first ever free-from awards.

The shortlist includes manufacturers from across the food industry from major supermarkets and multinational manufacturers, through to medium sized producers, to tiny or two man operations.

The final judging session will take place next month. The judging panel includes Simon Wright of Organic and Natural, Jeffrey Hyman of the Food & Drink Innovation Network, and Anne Maloney of Coeliac UK.

Presentation of the awards will take place on 21 May (during Allergy Week) at Antony Worrall Thompson's Notting Grill in London.

The overall winner of the awards will be presented with the FAIR trophy, commissioned from sculptor Tom Allan by the Foundation of Allergy Information and Research.
