Six days left to enter Springboard Awards for Excellence 2010

Workers in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry have just six days left to enter this year's Springboard Awards for Excellence.

The deadline for entries, which celebrate and reward inspiring people, organisations and initiatives within the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry, is 30 September.

Tickets have also gone on sale for the awards ceremony event on 29 November at the Lancaster London, where the winners will be announced.

Entries are being encouraged for the following categories:

Category 1: Promoting Careers

 The Springboard Ambassador's Award
 Best Regional Initiative
 The Web Award
 The Education Award

Category 2: Attracting People

 The Young People Award
 Best Student Placement Award
 The Diversity in Employment Award
 Best Initiative to Attract Chefs
 Best Initiative to Attract People into Management

Category 3: Best Employment Practice

 Best Employer Award
 Best Career Progression Award
 The Retention Award
 Best Recruitment Initiative Award
 The Corporate Responsibility Award
 People Innovation Award

The Chris Beaumont Special Award – For most outstanding contribution towards Springboard Aims.
