Sodexo Prestige secures major partnership with Headingley Experience

Sodexo Prestige, a leading provider of catering, event and hospitality services, has secured a major partnership with Headingley Experience to become the exclusive catering and hospitality partner at the stadium.

The long-term, multi-million pound contract sees Sodexo Prestige provide exclusive catering, hospitality and retail services for Leeds Rhinos, Leeds Carnegie and Yorkshire County Cricket Club – all of which come under the Headingley Experience.

The Sodexo Prestige team at Headingley Experience will be made up of 14 full-time staff and around 650 temporary staff – depending on the demands of each event. Sodexo Prestige took over the operation, which was formally in-house, on 1 November.

David Johnson, managing director, Sodexo Prestige England and Wales, said: "Working with Headingley Experience is an incredible opportunity for Sodexo Prestige to showcase its abilities in the Yorkshire area and attract further business opportunities.

"Annually, we deliver in excess of £18m in conference, business and event sales, but we are looking to grow in this area and Headingley Experience is a perfect example of how we will do this."

Leeds Rugby, commercial director Rob Oates, added: "We are delighted to be working with such a renowned company as Sodexo Prestige. You only need to look at the other events and sporting organisations that they currently work with to realise that they will help us build our business in the future, continue to deliver excellence to our customers and maintain the high reputation we have at Headingley Experience. We look forward to working with Sodexo Prestige for many years to come."
