15th August 2011, 11:37am

Sodexo, a leading provider of on-site service solutions, has launched Horticultural Services, formerly known as Land Technology, which will help establish a stronger position in the market place.

For over 40 years, Sodexo has been providing grounds maintenance and supporting clients to achieve award winning parks and sports pitches; contribute towards environmental services such as nature conservation; design and implement landscape architecture projects; raise awareness and increase levels of green waste recycling; and fashion creative interior plant displays.

Sodexo designs, delivers and manages a specialist range of horticultural solutions across the UK and Ireland and is currently operating at over 1,000 client sites.

Sodexo's services are designed to deliver horticultural excellence through skilled and specially trained staff. All teams have access to the latest technology such as handheld PDAs to enable constant monitoring of performance and maintenance, whether in the office or out in the field.

Philip Smith, managing director for Horticultural Services, said: "We take a holistic approach to wellbeing by creating fresh and inviting surroundings for indoors and outdoors that enhance all users' experience.

"But the impact of our services goes further than this - in that we take excellence and sustainability hand-in-hand. For example, we use electric vehicles wherever possible, use local suppliers, encourage use of natural products over chemicals, and are proud to have biodiversity as one of our top priorities.

"Our team of experts provide a professional service with the backing of academic research and studies, whilst underpinning high quality standards."
