Sodexo reveals new human resources appointment

Sodexo, a leader in quality of daily life solutions, has appointed Hugh Owens as director of reward, pensions & employee relations for its UK & Ireland business.

Owens, who was formerly HR director for Sodexo Defence, said: "I am delighted to take up this post at Sodexo at such an exciting time in the growth and development of the business."

Prior to joining Sodexo UK & Ireland in September 2002, Owens held HR positions with Northern Foods, BOC, United Waste Services and Castle View Services Ltd. He has also held the position of HR director for the Healthcare segment as well as having had responsibility for Information Services and Technology function.

Hugh will be based at the company's London offices and will report to Natalie Bickford, HR director, Sodexo UK & Ireland.
