Worth almost £2 million in total potential turnover, Sodexo will provide meals to over 1,600 pupils at the recently redeveloped Ruskin Road site in Banbury.
Pupils will be able to enjoy food from Sodexo's 'for you…' menu, which has been specifically developed to make lunchtime fun and attractive, whilst educating them to choose a healthy balanced meal, meeting nutritional requirements.
The menus will offer pupils and staff everything from smoothies and fresh paninis to hot meals such as Mexican wraps and stir fries.
Pupils will eat in the school's new dining rooms which were opened on Friday 13 March by Michael Grove MP, shadow secretary of state for children, schools and families. Sixth Form students will also be able to benefit from an all-day café which will be managed by Sodexo.
Jane Ablett, the income development officer at Banbury School said: "The new dining rooms and state-of-the-art facilities are fantastic and in Sodexo we have found a school meals provider that could provide us with a range of fresh, delicious food that reflects the high standards that we expect for our pupils."
Ian Henderson, business development manager, Sodexo, said: "We are delighted Banbury School has selected Sodexo to provide its school meals services. It's such an exciting stage of the school's development and we look forward to providing pupils with exciting dishes that are made using fresh and healthy ingredients."
