Currys Megastore at the Lakeside Retail Park in Thurrock has announced that it is opening a Starbucks coffee shop in July.

Sascha Kolb, Currys store director said: "We pride ourselves on offering our customers a fantastic shopping experience. This is the largest electrical store in the UK and our customers like to spend time here to browse as well as shop. Many customers are happy to drive upwards of 90 minutes to get here and regularly return to see the latest technology and the great deals available.

"We have a surround sound theatre where customers can experience home cinema at its very best, an Apple store where we hold regular workshops, a cooking demonstration area and a host of play tables for customers to try out a wide range of products before they select the right one for their needs.

"And now we are delighted to be able to announce that our customers will soon have the opportunity to take a break and enjoy a top quality cup of freshly brewed Starbucks coffee in our store too."
