The two-year deal contracts The Bureau to work closely with Safegard, Sodexo's internal health & safety consultancy. It will focus on the activities of Sodexo UK & Ireland, which employs 43,000 staff out of 13 regional offices, operating 2,500 contracts across 1,400 sites.
The Bureau will also be required to conduct food safety and health & safety audits across many different areas of Sodexo's business such as contract catering, cleaning and garden maintenance.
The Bureau's chief executive Derek Gardner said: "The Bureau has many, many years' experience in working flexibly with our clients, adapting our systems and processes to 'best fit' their needs.
"Throughout the tendering process, we stressed the need for a seamless integration of the services provided by both The Bureau and Safegard to maximise business efficiency and minimise disruption."
Chris Dark, head of Safegard, added: "I was very impressed by The Bureau's eagerness to add value as compliance is top of the agenda for Sodexo UK & Ireland. As part of a large multinational company, one of our challenges is to integrate global Food Safety and Health & Safety standards with national legislation."
