The Food for Life Partnership makes it to finals of National Lottery Awards

5th August 2010, 12:16pm

The Food for Life Partnership has made it through to the final of The National Lottery Awards.

The accolades search to find the UK's favourite Lottery funded projects, and they aim to celebrate and recognise the difference that those projects have made to people, places and communities.

The Food for Life Partnership is competing against Access to Citizenship and Cruse Bereavement Care's Young Cruse Project.

Public voting for the final is still open until midday on 13 August. The public can vote for their favourite project by going online to www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards

This year's National Lottery Awards are supported by actress Fay Ripley, who attended last year's Awards ceremony, broadcast on BBC One.  She said: "Lottery players raise £25 million every week to support a wide variety of projects and each year The National Lottery Awards recognise the incredible impact that Lottery-funded projects have on people and communities across the UK.

"All of the projects have done so well to reach the final of The National Lottery Awards, so please take the time to show your support – every vote really does make a difference!"

The Food for Life Partnership now works with more than 2,000 schools and communities to transform food culture and the positive impacts are already visible all over the country.
