During the two-hour session, students also learned about the importance of eating five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, the nutritional content of vegetables, the different ways to cook them, and went on to sample different vegetables before tucking into a traditional carvery meal.
Sheelagh Pegg of Toby Carvery, commented: "As an official partner in the government's Year of Food and Farming initiative, we are committed to encouraging children to eat a healthier diet. Chef schools are now being rolled out to Toby Carvery restaurants across the country.
