Roise and Oliver cooking with leftovers.
At the launch, Rosie and Oliver cooked a recipe using ingredients that often get forgotten and chucked in the bin.
With a third of London's food currently being thrown away, top chefs such as Gary Rhodes, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall and Thomasina Miers have joined the cause to trim our bins by providing a range of recipes including potato mash lemon cake and bacon soup.
All of these recipes are featured on the Recycle for London website and Londoners themselves will be encouraged to contribute their own top tips for making food go further.
UK households throw away a whopping 6.7 million tonnes of food waste every year.
