The campaign, which launched on 21 February at Roast, Borough Market, aims to raise public awareness about the struggles faced by many British pig farmers who lose an average of £26 on every pig they sell.
Supporter Gordon Ramsay commented: "It's British pig farmers who produce the world's best pork – it's an absolute disgrace that their future is in jeopardy."
Stewart Houston, chairman of both the British Pig Executive and the National Pig Association, commented on the positives of the campaign: "This campaign gives the pig industry the backing it needs and will help to highlight the problems being faced, leading to improvements for all to create a fair return for the effort all put in."
Other leading chefs and foodies supporting Save Our Bacon include Angela Hartnett, Heston Blumenthal, Sir Terence Conran, Jimmy Doherty, Rosie Boycott, and Iqbal Wahhab.
