Volunteers will be decorating, landscaping, and building at three sites in London, Leeds and Aberdeen as part of the 'Aramark Building Community' campaign launched in the UK in 2009.
In London, 100 Aramark employees and family members will be coming together to install a fun new zip line in the children's play area and painting 'animal tracks' throughout the grounds of Newham City Farm.
Meanwhile in Leeds, the volunteers will return to the Fairfield Community Centre to help with general site maintenance, installing new furniture and painting a giant mural in the main hall. And the Northfield Community Centre in Aberdeen will be given a grand makeover of the main hall and crèche.
Val Carter, corporate responsibility director, Aramarkcommented: "'Aramark Building Community' is a great way for us to get closer to the community, offering our support and commitment, while engaging with our existing employees. This is the third year we have hosted the 'Volunteer Day' and support for the project grows year-on-year, both at the employee level and with suppliers and partners who join in.
"We know our employees find huge value in giving back to the community in this way. There is not only a huge amount of effort involved on the day itself, but in the actual preparations too, so it's an enormous achievement and I commend all those who have given up their time to make a difference on the day."
