The projects are designed to encourage children to choose and eat healthy food at school and rise to the challenge of the Change4Life Campaign.
Each project follows the Appetite for Life programme designed to encourage healthier school meals.
All Appetite for Life primary schools in Wrexham have been given a mini makeover to encourage take-up of school meals.
Infant children from one primary school are currently being treated to a restaurant dining experience. During their lunchtime, the children sit at laid tables and the food is brought out in serving bowls and placed in the centre of each table. Lunchtime Supervisors then serve out the recommended portions to each child.
Other initiatives include a pre-order 'designer sandwiches' project which has been introduced in all secondary schools across the County, and is proving to be a great success.
