Authentic Food Company secures Vegetarian Society approval

The Vegetarian Society has formally endorsed products from The Authentic Food Company.

Two of the company's most popular vegetarian dishes for the retail sector have undergone a rigorous auditing process and now been given the official rubber stamp of approval by the national charity.

Nik Basran, managing director of The Authentic Food Company, commented: "Our accreditation by the Vegetarian Society demonstrates our commitment to ensuring all our dishes are ethically produced and utilise only quality ingredients. We are proud of our vegetarian range and continue to work hard to bring new flavours and combinations to the market in order to satisfy the veggie palate."

The Tandoori Vegetable Masala and award-winning Roasted Vegetable Jalfrezi form part of The Authentic Food Company's extensive vegetarian range. The collection also includes a Butternut Squash, Spinach and Lentil Curry, Thai Vegetable Curry, Vegetable Samosas and the award-winning Sweet Potato, Chick Pea and Spinach Curry.

The Authentic Food Company was established by Kamal Basran in 1985. Remaining family-owned and managed; it supplies international dishes to supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, hotels, and travel and leisure businesses across the UK and Europe.

The Vegetarian Society is an educational charity established in 1847 to support, represent and increase the number of vegetarians in the UK. It aims to accredit good practice and help vegetarians to shop and eat out with confidence.
