Entitled 'Working Together for a Healthy Future', this year's conference will cover 18 hot topics, led by leading experts, across the scope of nutrition and health, labelling, marketing and the state of the UK food industry.
The speakers will include Dr Clair Baynton from the Department of Health and FDF's director general Melanie Leech who will be tackling the challenging issue of marketing to children.
Meanwhile master chocolatier at Sir Hans Sloane Chocolates, Bill McCarrick, will provide an SME perspective on the challenges and changes necessary in order to be more competitive in the current marketplace.
Other sessions will look at perspectives on nutrition and health (from industry, retailer and consumer points of view), the impact of labelling on consumer choice, health claims, childhood obesity, and the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Code on advertising to children and digital advertising.
The conference takes place at the Oxford Belfry Hotel, Milton Common, Thame, Oxfordshire. For booking information visit: http://www.fdf.org.uk/event.aspx?event=3002
