‘A united voice on key issues for the Public Sector Caterer’

The PS100 mission is to create a collective lobbying voice that aims to drive government legislation towards healthier lifestyles through Public Sector catering and education initiatives. The group will focus on diet, nutrition and international commitments to sustainability and carbon reduction. Our aim is to influence the public feeding agenda in the UK for years to come.

What is PS100?

The Public Sector 100 is an evolution of Cost Sector Catering magazines existing event Public Sector Forum following input from the 2010 Public Sector Most Influential group, also created by Cost Sector Catering Magazine.

For the past three years we’ve held a high profile luncheon at the House of Commons for the top 20 most influential public sector caterers, who use this as an opportunity to debate the key issues facing public sector caterers as a whole. The 2010 group decided that meeting in isolation once a year wouldn’t achieve their aims, which was to bring the issues to the attention of Government and influence policy on Health, Nutrition and Wellbeing.

And so the PS 100 was born – a broader group with real clout who would be invited to attend a series of seminars and breakfast meetings with Government and industry speakers who can both inform and learn from each other.

A collective voice is always more powerful than a lone one. The purpose of PS100 is to raise the profile of major public sector catering issues and initiatives amongst both the broader catering community and with the key political opinion formers.
