Student chefs who submit the best recipes for the Mutton Renaissance Challenge 2010 will be invited to attend this cook-off final.

A speaker will talk about the lowering of salt levels in food in order to remove ‘danger to consumers’, the danger created by its removal, alternatives to be used and the dangers created by alternative additives. How will manufacturing cope without the current levels for preservative and taste?

The director of Arena, Lorraine Wood, is hosting an X Factor-themed fundraising later this month to help raise funds for The Springboard Charity Great Wall of China Trek.
The X-Factor event is searching for all budding Matt Cardle's, Leona Lewis' or even Jedwards of the hospitality industry to take part in the competition.
The event includes a drinks reception, a Chinese meal courtesy of Sharwoods, disco, karaoke and cash bar. The X Factor competition will kick off at 9.00pm followed by a disco and karaoke.
